We're getting a house. WOOHOO! Searching for a house in St. Petersburg is a ridiculous experience. Be glad if you are not subject to do this same task. The market for houses in Pinellas county is active and unless you have stupid cash, part of the job in looking for a house is picking through the garbage. It took awhile for us to decide on a house. There were many days when we went out with our realtor (our first realtor) and came home disgusted. Now looking at big expensive houses is fun, but to seriously look for something to raise your kids in and be able to afford to eat. And I'm not talking about just eating ramen noodles either.
Now I said our first realtor because the agent we talked to first saw our indeciveness and gave up hope we would never buy anything. So Sue, one of her associate agents was glad to step in and help us make our decision. It took a few trips w/ Sue to find a proper house. It was all about waiiting for a good home to come on the market.. that we could afford. So I am inviting everyone to a BYOP, bring your own paint and moving party.
Posted by omar at April 4, 2005 10:40 AMYea!!! to the house. Booooooo to the cost of homeowner's insurance. What is up with that??? Well, minus the fact that FL is going to blow away with the next big hurricane. I've been looking for insurance lately for the house, and I honestly think that the insurance company is out to rip me another hole. As if the man doesn't break you, the insurance industry wants to finish you off. Someone, call 98.7 in Tampa and send the insurance industry to the doggs. Ya'll suck ass!! And you morgage companies aren't that great either. Heck, send them to the dogs too.
