big news

Well if you were wondering where is Omar and his lovely pictures? or Why has Omar gotten lazy on posting to his blogs? Have I got the answer for you. I like to call it a New Home! Of course I say that w/ the price is right type feel: A NEW Home!!

Shawana and I have been deep into the home buying process and moving in. We got a big house for the boys to run around in. Thats in St. Petersburg if you ever want to come and visit. We are officially classified as poor people so bring your check books when you come, just kidding. Our house is pink on the outside, my sister better describes it as a salmon color, I prefer stanky panky pink. You never realize how much shit you have and how much you don't have when it comes to living in your first house. Our first big hit, was window treatments. There wasn't a blind or shade in the whole house, which really sucks because in our family room half the total wallspace is windows. Our laundry room has got to be modified to fit our washer and dryer. Apparently it wasn't made for a standard size set. But that becomes a good thing, because its our first major house improvement project. We have to work together to make some type of raised platform.
I've also been educated by experience on putting up mini blinds and vertical blinds. This is also a good time to thank Home Depot, and remind them to leave their doors open because we'll be coming back. Also the boys have adjusted to their new surroundings, the shreak, giggle and scream for attention just like they did in the apartment, how precious!

Having just moved in December into the apartment brought the pain of moving back to focus. The greatest thing was moving all our stuff from a 2 story apartment to a 1 story house. Once gravity applied its force to help you move stuff down to the truck, it just seemed simple to unload the truck into the house. Sidenote about our rental truck from Budget. Its all good for them to crank it up and have the a/c going for you when you're ready to go, but the spell of stinky man and/or dog is not a pleasant odor. God that truck reeked. And a big thanks to all of those who helped us move, because our shit takes more than Shawana and I to move. Our plan is to de-box our stuff by next week. There is stuff all over the house because we are still in that adjustment phase. We got a new couch and loveseat for the family room which are so comfy that sleep never seems too far away. But there is so much going on, we still have to bring Shelby & Elise over from the apartment so they can check out the place. Even though its raining today its a good day and sorry for the long write-up. There's just so much going on in our otherwise dull life w/ twins!

When do you find time to write in this blog. I never see you writing in here.

You should tell everyone about the flood.
